I think I may be going a little OCDish. Every time I see someone that has a recipe I want to try I run to the kitchen. So what happens?
I end up making Cajun Chef Ryans Monkey bread even though I don't know who is going to eat it and then I haven't even cleaned up from this
and I decide that I must make the neighbors Foododelmundo's "Mr Davis' Toffee Squares
Mine don't have a pretty ribbon around em but
LOL! I can't believe you made those two awesome things in the same day! How did they taste or were you too over them to try???
ReplyDeletehahaha! that and a couple extra pounds ...we must step away from the kitchen! Thanks for the plug - I hope your neighbors liked them!
ReplyDeleteimpressed by your courage and zeal to try out different food. It can only get better. Looks great to me for 1st time trying.
ReplyDeleteYou are so funny, I am back from my surgery still under anesthesia and your post made me laugh so hard! so it's all good - I can totally picture you in the kitchen, ahaha you made sweets and you don't even like them! The bread looks like some kind of crazy insane brioche, I like the "rugged" look!
ReplyDeleteI have a data base with over 100 recipes i want to try...and it grows daily
ReplyDeleteI wish I could cook whatever whenever!!! You are the best Janis and like I said to you before, New England needs you. How would your neighbors be fed without you??? If you want, ship the monkey bread to me, I'll eat it. See, I have no problem with it being dark bread. Seeing all the dishes you prepare, I'll bet it tastes great!
ReplyDeleteI have saved so many favourites and links and PDFs. It is crazy!
ReplyDeleteYou are funny but you seem to be doing well in the kitchen. Keep it up dear. Always remember that we love you too.
ReplyDeleteI do this too, mostly on the weekends! I try to make a billion wonderful things I've read about...and then I eat too much of them (because no one else eats sweets in the house) or take them to the office. And then I'm so exhausted! It's hilarious - and I think we all need an intervention!
ReplyDeleteI keep saving recipes going, "Someday I'll be able to afford the eighteen types of imported fruit-infused vinegar in that." My recipe box is completely overflowing. At least these are signs that we're among so many talented (albeit slightly obsessive) folks!
ReplyDeleteYour monkey bread looks great! Thanks for the plug!
ReplyDeleteGood heaven, you blamed the bloggers for this! hahaha.... It looks fantastically delicious LOl. You can always share this with you friends & neighbours. I did so as always, so that I can make another new recipe the day after. Isn't that good! Btw, my neighbours & friends are my biggest fans. Cheers.
